The ActiveCount Remote Impactor Kit is designed to provide a flexible, modular solution for viable sampling in critical environments. Whether you rely on a house vacuum system, use an ActiveCount viable sampler, or require a remote sampling setup, this kit is engineered to adapt seamlessly to your existing processes and scale as your needs evolve.

The kit comes in many varieties, suited to your specific needs. To help ensure that you have the right setup, we created this guide to product selection – which helps you to determine the best kit for your setup.

Sample Collection that Adjusts to Your Environment

Collect samples from the side, or the bottom.

The impactor base is compact, making it well-suited for sampling in space-constrained areas. It also offers dual configuration, allowing for sampling from either the side or the bottom, depending on the layout of your environment. For those with a house vacuum with flow control planning to sample inside of isolators and LAF cabinets, we offer a sanitary flange adapter as an additional accessory (shown as the middle example above).

Choose Your Sample Media

We have kits which supports both petri dish media and Rapid Micro Bio cassettes, offering options based on your preferred method or required turnaround time.

Controlling Flow Rate

Flow rates can be controlled based on your vacuum source or the orifice barbs themselves.

For users of the ActiveCount25H or ActiveCount100H the flow is controlled by the unit, and the orifice barb is open flow – allowing the adjustment to come from the ActiveCount unit.

For users with a house vacuum system without flow control, flow rates are easily adjustable through interchangeable critical orifice barbs – allowing for sampling at 10 LPM, 25 LPM, 28.3 LPM, or 100 LPM.

For users with a house vacuum that offers flow control, the open orifice barb or sanitary flange is used.

Modular Flow Rates

Simple Integration with Existing Equipment

For users of the ActiveCount 25H or ActiveCount 100H, this kit allows for remote sampling up to 10 feet from the main unit, with conversion taking less than five minutes.

Facilities using in-house vacuum systems will also find full compatibility, with multiple flow control options available—including control via outlet barbs, external flow controllers, or existing house system settings.

Designed for Multi-Zone Sampling

The system’s modular nature allows for expansion as needed. For facilities that require monitoring across multiple cleanroom areas, additional sample heads, tubing, outlet barbs, and impactor bases can be added to establish separate, dedicated sampling points. Each zone can maintain a unique flow rate or media type, depending on the requirements.

Sterility and Tracking

All parts of the Remote Impactor Kit are fully autoclavable for easy sterilization.

Each impactor head is laser-etched with a permanent barcode to support inventory tracking and operational efficiency across your facility. This marking is resistant to wear, cleaning, and repeated autoclaving. For best barcode scan results, we recommend disabling scanner backlighting to minimize glare on the metallic surface.

Compatibility for ActiveCount25H Users

To determine compatibility with the Remote Impactor Kit, users can identify their ActiveCount 25H model by removing the sample head. Units with an orange gasket are Generation B and immediately compatible; units without the gasket are Generation A and will require a service upgrade.
